In the first half of this year Sfinks Polska Group - owner of the chain of restaurants: Sphinx, Chłopskie Jadło and WOOK - generated consolidated sales revenues of PLN 82.4 m compared to PLN 85.96 m in the same period the year before. In the meantime, the group has increased its consolidated operating profit fourfold - from PLN 608 k in the first half of 2013 to PLN 2.43 m at the end of June this year. Consolidated EBITDA increased in this period in Sfinks by 48% YoY and at the end of the first half of the year it reached PLN 6.88 m. For the first time, Sfinks has generated net profit at the consolidated level which in the first half of the year reached PLN 525 k - an improvement of PLN 2.72 m YoY. Also, at the end of June this year, the company achieved unit net profit of PLN 21 k compared to the loss of PLN 4.01 m in the previous year.  Sfinks continues its operations aiming at developing the chain and considers the possibility of expanding its portfolio by new gastronomic brands.

The company Sfinks Polska, managing chains of Sphinx, WOOK and Chłopskie Jadło, has signed a cooperation agreement with Eurocash. As a result, Eurocash will be responsible for providing products to all the Sfinks restaurants. The Agreement shall be enforced, at the latest, by 1 January 2013 and will be in effect until the end of 2015. The estimated value of the contract is 98 million zł.

The Sfinks Polska group – owner of the restaurant chains Sphinx, Chłopskie Jadło and WOOK – generated during the 1st quarter of 2014 consolidated sales revenues of PLN 41.17 million and a net profit of PLN 739 thousand, which constitutes an improvement by PLN 2.3 million compared to the corresponding period of the last year. At the same time, the Sfinks Polska group’s EBITDA amounted as at the end of March this year to PLN 4.04 million compared to PLN 1.5 million in the first quarter of 2013. The group’s improved results stem from the continuously growing operating profitability of the Sfinks group’s business. Due to the amendment of franchise agreements in the first quarter of 2014, 11 franchised restaurants were left out of consolidation; in that period, they generated a revenue of PLN 3.26 million from catering sales. The catering sales of all the restaurants of the chain amounted to PLN 42.35 million in the 1st quarter of 2014, which means growth by 11.3% compared to the turnover achieved one year before.

Company Sfinks Polska, the owner of restaurant chains Sphinx, WOOK and Chłopskie Jadło, has signed a new contract with PepsiCo - the current supplier of soft drinks. During this 5 year contract PepsiCo will provide sodas, juices and water to all chains of restaurants managed by Sfinks. The value of the contract during this period is estimated at 25 million zł.

In 2013, the Sfinks Polska group – owner of the Sphinx, WOOK and Chłopskie Jadło chains – increased its consolidated sales revenues to PLN 176.65 million from PLN 171.12 million in 2012. At the same time, last year the group improved its consolidated result on operating activities by PLN 7.2 million, and its consolidated net result – by PLN 9.44 million. This means that Sfinks generated in 2013 the consolidated profit on operating activities of PLN 3.55 million compared to the previous year’s loss of PLN -3.66 million, and last year’s consolidated net loss amounted to a mere PLN -0.55 million compared to PLN -9.99 million in 2012. In the fourth quarter of 2013, Sfinks generated the consolidated net profit of PLN 0.92 million compared to a loss of PLN -0.87 million a year before. The company promises further growth – in 2014, it intends to allocate about PLN 12.7 million for development of its restaurant chains.

Sfinks Polska Capital Group, which manages the Sphinx, WOOK and Chłopskie Jadło restaurant chains, achieved a consolidated income from sales of PLN 83.6 million compared to PLN 83.5 million in the previous year, whereas the sales dynamics of the Group in Poland grew by (+)1.7 per cent. At the same time the Group noted significant growth in gross profit on sales, which in the first half of 2012 reached PLN 7.3 million and doubled the result form the first half of the previous year, which was PLN 3.6 million.

The Supervisory Board of Sfinks Polska – the company that manages restaurant chains Sphinx, WOOK and Chłopskie Jadło – appointed the following composition of the Management Board for the new common term: Sylwester Cacek as President, and Bogdan Bruczko, Dorota Cacek and Sławomir Pawłowski as Vice Presidents. All the persons were members of the Management Board in the previous term. At the same time, the former Vice President of the company Mariola Krawiec-Rzeszotek handed in her resignation from membership in the Management Board of Sfinks for personal reasons.

Sfinks Polska, the company which manages the Sphinx, WOOK, and Chłopskie Jadło restaurant chains, has just opened new Sphinx restaurants in Zduńska Wola near Łódź, and Książ Wielki, located near the national road No. 7. Just a few days ago a new restaurant was also opened in the immediate vicinity of Cracow’s Market Square. Also in June, a new Sphinx launched in Zgierz. All four restaurants operate as franchises. As a result, a total of 7 new restaurants have been opened under the brand name Sphinx in the first half-year of 2012.

The Sfinks Polska group, the owner of restaurant chains Sphinx, WOOK and Chłopskie Jadło, increased its sales revenues during the first half-year of 2013 to PLN 85.96 million, or by PLN 2.32 million compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. In the last half-year, the group also generated an operating profit of PLN 608 thousand, compared to its previous year’s operating loss of PLN 5.56 million. Sfinks also improved its net result by over 73% - the loss for the first half-year of 2013 amounted to PLN (-)2.19 million compared to PLN (-)8.18 million as at the end of June 2012.

Sfinks Polska reached the consolidated income from the sales of 128 m. zlotys from January to September 2011, which means the increase by around 8% compared to the previous year. Three first quarters of this year brought 7,2 m. zlotys of gross profit from sales, the company lost 1,2 m. zlotys in the analogous period in 2010. What is more, after three quarters of this year, Sfinks may be proud of the positive consolidated EBITDA result of 4,1 m. zlotys compared to -6,9 m. zlotys in the previous year. The considerable improvement in the reported period was achieved in the case of other crucial financial categories – operating result (by 77%) and net result (by 60%). Regular improvement of Sfinks Polska results confirms the strengthening sales uptrend in the restaurants. Also, it shows a growing profitability of the group
